Fun Fact: Locals call it the "Cement Ship,"
which is silly, since it's actually made entirely of concrete (cement
is the powder you make concrete from). It's one of only three of its kind,
built during World War I. In 1929 it was turned into a restaurant, dancehall
and even had a heated swimming pool. You used to be able to walk on to
it, but it's now just a big chunk of seagull perch. |
